First sparkling wine brand: HERRES Cabinet
1968 Creation of the first strawberry sparkling wine – HERRES Erdbeer-Gold, which became the market leader in this segment within 5 years.
1969 Development of the first export trading partners with the Benelux countries, later in the UK, and Scandinavia in the 70s – today we trade with over 30 states worldwide.
1983 Launch of the brand Graf Artos – today the market leader in this segment. Regularly awarded the DLG standard.
1988 Creation of the first convenience cocktail FASZINATION with 4 different flavours available. Today an internationally distributed brand.
1991 Official opening of the world’s largest sparkling wine bottling plant by EU Commissioner Bangemann. Filling capacity: 32 000 bottles per hour.
1994 Takeover of the brand KELLER GEISTER – well over 1 billion bottles sold so far.
1994 First German company in the branch to attain ISO certification.
1999 Development into new markets and target groups with Chiang Mai Kombucha – Herres’ first non-alcoholic wellness drink. Within 2 years it became the market leader in Germany.
2002 Introduction of the pre-mix brands Blizzard and Ustinoff. Today the unrivalled market leaders in Germany.
2004 One of the first European companies in the branch to attain IFS certification.
2005 Procurement of a sleeve installation.
2006 Expansion of the finished product warehouse by a further 10 000 m².
2007 Restructuring as Herres Grooup International with a new corporate identity.
2008 Relaunch of the own-brand Herres Hochgewächs, new internet presence, reorganisation of the factory shop – Herres is going global!
2009 Implementation of the 4th bottling plant - Expansion of the capacities about further 25 000 bottles per hour. Launch of the own-brand Herres Riesling sparkling wine.
2010 Graf Artos is the only awarded berry semi-sparkling wine in its category – DLG Silver.
2011 Launch of the house brand Herres Rosé quality sparkling wine. Graf Artos berry semi-sparkling wine is awarded with DLG Gold. Purchase of a new state-of-art labelling machine which allows even more flexibility in packaging design.
